Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Great Book for Any Adult Learner The Complete Idiot's Guide to Going Back to College is a fun, informative book for adults who are thinking about going to, or going back to, college. My favorite chapter is Chapter 5 - Finding an Adult Friendly College, because I've found from personal experience that a college that is prepared to cater to an `Adult Learner' is one that significantly increases the student's chance of success. At these colleges there is a strong focus on getting people through the system and helping them overcome obstacles from `outside life' that find their way into a student's `college life.' Help for Back-to-College-Bound Highly recommended! I bought this book for a little help and advice for going back to college after a 27 year absence. What I got was a treasure-trove, well written and easily understood! Shortly into the book, I had a pen and pad for taking notes. This book helped me know what questions to ask and pitfalls to avoid. As a result, I will be attending evening classes this fall. Great advice for both traditional and non-traditional students alike. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
