I bought this for my 10 year old son. I am trying to find things that interest him to add to his education. He uses this as a reference and it is helping him with his schoolwork. The principles of using a reference are the same. Of course he tries to find everything first, but some of the star coins are very obscure. This guide helps you find them, but not necessarily exactly what tactic to use to get it. I like that.

I have only gotten through world 1 but so far the book really helped me in world 1.

In general this is a pretty good guide, but it doesn't make it obvious in the guide (or at least that I found) where to go to unlock secret levels. Other than that it was quite useful to find the star coins.
