Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Disappointing This book should only be used in conjunction with another text while studying for the Net+, if at all. I bought this as my main study guide, trusting the good reputation of Exam Cram, as most of their books are generally pretty solid. I read through this book, did the practice questions, and also ran through the test simulator (the CD does show up in only a couple of days if it isn't included). The day before I originally planned on taking the test I spent part of a day at Barnes and Noble and essentially used it as a library in order to get a different perspective on the material. I sat down with a few books and would go through their review questions, making note of any areas where I felt I struggled, and then reading the portion of the text that covered that particular subject. I am incredibly thankful that I did this because it lead to the discovery that the Exam Cram text had several important topics that were either left out completely or barely covered. I ended up buying a different book and spending an extra week studying it, and was amazed how it covered things that weren't even in the Exam Cram book, yet were absolutely on the Net+ exam. The reviews mentioning typos and poor editing are true as well, by the way. All in all, this book is only useful if you have a different book to use as your main study guide. In other words, if you want just one book that will adequately prepare you for the Net+ exam, this one is an absolute waste of money. Excellent Prep for CompTIA Network + Exam I had a couple books at work to study for the exam and this one was, by far, the easiest to follow and study. I, also, found the exam tips and self-test questions very helpful. Good review material for exam Book is well written, though it does cover some material not necessary for the exam. It does highlight and shift focus to the required parts as well as lists tips for remembering specific aspects of the exam. good book SERIOUSLY this book did help, BUT KNOW WHAT TO STUDY BEFORE YOU TAKE THE TEST and this book helps. And has the new objectives in it as well. Concise, Helpful, Not THAT Many Errors I found this book helpful, easy to read, and up to date. The errors are relatively few. There are no wrong answers given in the test questions in the book and CD. There seems to be only three instances of wrong info in the text which are really wrong. The typos are few compared to other guides. Compare this book with other Network+ guides, and this book comes out on the top side. It is good to study from more than one guide book. This book does cover a few different things from other books. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
