Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Past Edition Saved Lots of Money This book was in great condition and shipped speedily. The class requirement was the 8th edition, but the 7th edition has worked fine so far in my business class at college. Never received!! I bought this book for my daughter for a college class on the 28th of August and paid the extra money for it to be expedited so she would have it in time for her first assignments. We never received the book and had to withdraw her from her class because she got so far behind in the week we waited. My credit card was charged for both the fee for the book as well as the expedite fee. It's really hard to find any one to talk to. The only contact I have had with anyone from Amazon.com is this request for a review so I am taking the time to vent my disapproval over this transaction. SAME BOOK This is excellent book, it is about the same as the eight edition. I am glad professor let me use it instead of paying a lot of money for the eight edition which cost 122.00 dollars for a new one in my school. And I got this for one for just 10.00 dollars. I save a lot of money. truth in advertising I was told I would get the cd rom that comes with this book and I didn't get it. Two weeks ago I gave Katie Verhalen the opportunity to fix this problem by emailing her through this site, I got no response. I'm still waiting for what was promised: The cd that goes with the book! Worthwhile elementary text. This book covers a lot of ground, so if it starts with some awfully basic stuff, that's okay. The only real complaint that I have is that the authors are a bit too rah-rah for my taste when discussing marketing, but then, that's probably par for the course; everybody who is into marketing tends to go overboard on the bubbly, fake energy. That, and the fact that they demonstrate an astounding lack of understanding of basic arithmetic when they assert that "while saving 2% by paying a bill early may not sound like much, doing it over the course of a year will save you 24%". | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
