This book is a work of fiction that tells a story while relaying significant points. It is an 'easy read' but with a powerful message to help build energy in the workplace. I would also recommend Heroz by the same author.

I read this book thinking it would begin to make sense as the chapters unfolded, it did not. It does not add any viable information regarding "empowerment", I have to say it is the worst book I have ever read on this subject. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

I am a Human Resources Manager. We gave this book to all of the staff managers as a mandatory read. The discussion that took place was great, each manager brought something to the table on how they saw themsevles and real situations in this book. The book is written in such a way that it is an easy read with humor but is still shows the serious side of how we view teamwork. We are now making this book available to all the first line supervisors and support staff.

Zapp! The Lightning of Empowerment should be the first stop on your path to better management of employees. The concepts presented in this book are prerequisites for manager training and I highly recommend all managers and supervisors to buy it and study it. Don't be put off by the fairy tale story line. It does a great job of teaching basic skills that most other books and programs fail to provide.
