I spent a few hours one afternoon Googling Schedule C, Estimated Taxes and ended up coming across this book. I was a bit disappointed with what was missing. It did, however, cover what I learned in the first hour of my Google search, so if you want to make sure that you don't miss any of the basics and that you have a list of topics for further research, this is a good resource. If you're looking for a "Surprisingly Simple" How-To book, this is *not* the book for you, because it doesn't really go so far as to teach you how to actually do any of these things. I would have preferred a smaller font and more information or perhaps 150 pages or less:) Perfectly simple... You want it explained in a simple way, you got it. Right to the point. Short and simple but contains all what is needed. Too Simple There are some things, such as medicine and taxes, where a little knowledge is more dangerous than no knowledge. Surprisingly Easy This book is surprisingly easy to read and understand. This book is for someone who does not know anything about taxes. It is an excellent introductory book. If you've been in business a while you should know everything that is in here - if not, pick this book up! Good if you are very green This book does introduce many of the topics that you need to know if you have just started a small business, however there is very little depth. In the year and a half that I have been operating as an independent contractor / sole proprietor, I have already learned everything in this book on my own. It certainly would have helped when I first started, but now that I have made it through my own taxes twice, this book had very little to offer. | | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
