Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Everyone should be so organized.... This is a wonderful tool for anyone who wants to save their family from having to figuring out what their wishes are should something happen to them. Everyone, young and old, should have these documents prepared. Being organized will giving you a great feeling of relief and satisfaction. This is a great book to help you do that. Detailed, Step-by-Step Process in Organizing Your Records This gave me detailed, step-by-step process for gathering records and key documents and organizing them for future use. The greatest resource is the forms CD included with the book and I will be able update and reprint the forms when necessary. I have a peace of mind that my successors will have no trouble making or tracking down stuff because I put all of these forms and key documents in one place and all of the meaningless clutter is gone. My next purchase will be Quicken WillMaker Plus 2009 Edition. Excellent Book for All I bought this book because I have a 1 1/2 year old son and I thought it would be a good idea to have everything organized in case something happens to me. After going through this book, I realized that whomever has the task of executing my wishes will be able to do so with ease. I am already an organized person but this book made me organize my paperwork even better. A family survival guide "Get It Together" is a great resource, filled with worksheets, checklists, and step-by-step instructions. It also includes a Windows-based CD-ROM for printing out selected documents and resources. It probably contains more information than most people will need, but it is a good preparation guide for family and loved ones. It's like a family survival guide for when you're no longer here. The Other "Life" Insurance Sometime ago, my grandmother passed away unexpectantly and at an early age. She left an incomplete estate without a will or trust to her name. I remember the horror of watching her 12 children argue and push each other over what little she had left them and I remember how the pain only got compounded when probate and estate taxes came into the picture. Add to this the fact that not all of her assets and liabilities were easy to track down and not all of them were named in beneficiaries that were useful or had lawful capacity to serve as beneficiaries. I remember the nights that my mother spent awake, crying and trying to sort through all of the mess as she dug through all of the tedious paperwork, all the while having to figure out how to come up with money for a decent funeral at time when we were barely above the poverty line. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
