i was unsure about this book. I looked and looked for a book that would actually help someone apply for 501c3 status. This book does! it has great templates that are easy to modify and line by line directions as well as information on how to maintain your organization. Definitely the most helpful book I have seen.

Nolo Press is the best, as usual. Nobody does self-help like Nolo. Now, let's be clear-- I saw some of the negative reviews-- I am a tax professional, and the negative reviews smell a lot like tax protesters to me. If you want to form an ACTUAL non-profit, such as an animal rescue, or a real church, then this book is the way to do it.

Now, if you are looking for a manual that will help you get out of paying taxes by forming a phony non-profit by way of funneling your personal expenses through it (which people get caught trying to do all the time), then you will not find the answer in this book. Got it?
