Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: A how-to book for new investors I never read investment books and have never bought or sold a stock. However, this book provides a strong case for why investors should include small-cap stocks in their portfolio. Wyatt uses interesting quotes and a clear style to inform readers about the fundamentals involved in investing. The book was more interesting and better written at the beginning but still provides a novice with enough information to establish a strong base for someone to get more involved. The Small Cap Investor It's interesting to note that as of this writing there are 8 reviewers, all with glowing recommendations but all of them have a similar ring to them. They are extremely positive and yes, they are all extremely general and sound like commercial hypes. Excellent read into small caps I enjoyed reading this book particularly because I could read it on the commuter rail to and from work but it is a great book overall focusing on an area that most investors don't realize, the potential rewards of small cap investing. Ian goes into great detail explaining in simple terms how to read company financials. I would recommend this book to any longterm investor or day trader. Good Sensible Advice I am still reading the book, but I like it, and I particularly like the fact that it seems grounded in reality, with no get rich quick promises. I am a relative beginner in the stock market, but this book has given me confidence to make what have already turned out to be several profitable trades. I would say this is not a book for someone looking for easy money with no effort, but rather a very sensible guide for someone willing to study out how to make money in the stock market. It is easy to understand and just good, sensible guidance for a disciplined approach to investing. I am particularly interested in small caps, so the title got my attention, but I think much of the guidance would apply whether trading in small caps or other categories of securities, so I think it is a valuable read for anyone trading in the stock market. ...a must-read for serious profits!
