Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Wish I knew I may have read the other reviews wrong, but I was expecting a guide on how to use my iphone to take good pictures... instead it is just examples of his (neat pics) oh well It's All About The Idea And The Execution This book is great for one reason. It's simplicity is inspiring. Everyone takes pictures with their camera phones, but most people just brush them off as "not good enough." This book is proof-positive that "not good enough" can be "good enough to publish a book with." On top of this, add what other reviews have called The Best Camera "Trifecta" and you get an ecosystem that is both creative and technically genius. Great work, Chase. A collection recommended for any photography library Chase Jarvis is known as a visionary photographer, and here provides a fine set of images shot with his iPhone. From vivid spectrum photo shoots to cultural icons, oddities, and everyday life, this collection of artistic iPhone photos proves that iPhone users can achieve stunning, creative results from a phone camera in a collection recommended for any photography library. Somewhat disappointing I just received this book, "The Best Camera" which I had been looking forward to reading. I was disappointed to find out that is is simply a photo collection, with no tips, explanations or instructions on how to make my camera phone work for me. Plus one of the first pictures in the book is a severed pig's head on a platter, which put me off right away, Art or not. The pictures are very artsy and the author has been fortunate to be quite a globetrotter, which I am not able to do. No doubt my pictures would be more interesting if I could be a world traveler, too. However, I am a trained artist, with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and have been working in my profession for 26 years now, so I believe I am qualified to give a critique. Many of the photographs are fine, very moody, but many of them are abstract shapes, colors and angles. I was hoping to see pictures that would give a spontaneous view of life, since that is why we carry a camera phone in the first place. I felt there was not much spontaneity, or views of life, humor and emotions. waste of time
