I cannot say enough about this book. I have made so many of the projects, I had to go to my nearest thrift store to restock t-shirts. Mostly, the items I'm making are not for me, but for gifts. You must take the sizing in stride and realize what size you REALLY are. Make sure if the project calls for a fitted shirt it is in your size to start. Otherwise, a shirt at least one size bigger is smart.

The directions are very easy to understand. A beginner will be able to follow right along. With help, even girls as young as 7-8 years old could make some of these designs.

You could also use some of the directions and use all manner of fabric. I will be making the wedding dress into a special occasion dress with some super soft jersey material I have.

If you are into recycling, reusing and repurposing, get this book. You will not go wrong!

I just started getting into DIY stuff, and this book is GREAT for people just getting started, or the DIY pro. Super stoked on this purchase!

I checked out this book from the library. Although I'm too old to wear such t-shirt styles, some were creative and looked nice on the models (I thought the flapper dress was cute). The overall organization of the book was good, and the instructions seemed thorough (I never tried making anything, though). Projects were typically illustrated with photos (completed project) and line drawings (intermediate steps). Anyway, if you're young and a beginning sewer, you might get something out of this book. For me it was just mildly interesting to flip through. I'd suggest previewing this book in the library or bookstore to make sure it's really what you want before buying it.

What a clever book. Wish I'd wrote it. I am a seamstress and so many of these ideas can certainly be applied to my creations in knits. Well illustrated. I am a visual person, and love the line drawings in the book. Many darling skirts,flirty full skirts, skinny skirts, and skirts that can be worn as tops using a couple to three T-shirts. But hey, we all have T-Shirts and we don't wear all of them. Very Clever. I certainly am not disappointed in this great idea book. Many of the designs in the book can be easily adapted to a larger size,and modified by wearing a tank top underneath,so as to avoid the obscene look. The book depicts skinny gals, so of course you have to have some creativity to fluctuate the sizing. I am teaching a gal to sew, and this book will certainly spike up the degree of her creativity, she fits the mold and can wear all the styles. It will be so much fun to see what she can do after she learns the basics. That was my main reason for buying the book, to spike her creativity and keep her desire to learn to sew in high gear.I feel the book is well worth the money spent on it.
